Food: Where do I begin… Highland Bakery is honestly a place that I learned to appreciate. It was not until my 5th out of 6 visit that I finally realized what to order and what I liked at this bakery. I now know and recommend that you order any of the French toast, and pancakes options. Their homemade syrup is scrumptious! Paired with the fresh fruit and the vanilla glaze every bite is a mini celebration in your mouth. These are the only two options that I will eat at this bakery. I have had the muffins, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, omelets, sausage, grits, and lunch entrees and did not enjoy any of it. Now it wasn’t horrible, but it lacked the flavor that I desired. The pound cake and cinnamon rolls, were not sweet enough, the biscuits were too dry, and the omelets needed spice. Now I could spend another three stanzas explaining in detail why I don’t like all of there other items but the French toast really makes up for all of my bad experiences. So don’t waste your money, order the best thing on the menu and you wont be disappointed.
